Art is Important

Our unique programs are designed to provide children and teens with an opportunity to foster their own creative passion and gain confidence by developing artistic ability. Our fine-art classes teach both fundamental and advanced techniques through varied mediums and projects. Our fun-based, nurturing environment provides a comfortable, supportive atmosphere in which students can become their artistic potential while enhancing self-esteem. We believe Art is important to expression and should be shared!

What Inspired Art's Cool?

Art's Cool began when Miss Deb (Art's Cool founder) was asked to teach private art lessons to a neighbor's grand daughter. At the time she was busy with her interior design business (In-Colors) and active three young children; but she said "sure." Thankful now that she agreed, as inspiring creativity in others became her truest passion!

Miss Deb's undergraduate studies included Communications, Fine Art and Art History at Boston College. During her graduate studies Miss Deb concentrated on Illustration and Design at Mass Art.

As a college student in Boston her talent commanded commission paintings, murals, and window designs for Newbury Street and Boston businesses. She also interned at the Society of Arts and Crafts, a gallery located on Newbury Street, and gained experience curating exhibits and jurying craft artists. Miss Deb worked at Little Brown Publishing Co.-Atlantic Monthly as part of an editing team reviewing/editing children’s book manuscripts, storyboard illustrations and articles (including the well-known Arthur the Aardvark Children’s Series and TV Cartoon). Her first studio space was located at the Kendall Center for the Arts in Belmont where she worked in various paint mediums, selling her work and gaining commissions. She then built a business from self-designed, hand-painted furniture and a line of embellished, designed clothing named “Fedele Originals.” The business increased from the art studio into a retail store in Burlington and included several employed artists. Fedele merchandise was also sold at a mall kiosk and through Fedele's national mail order catalog. After her second child was born she retired Fedele Originals and opened In-Colors an interior design business. Art’s Cool began in 2010 and has turned out more than a decade of students!
